oprainfall Awards | oprainfall Reader's Game of the Year

Remember how I said that we would have a surprise for you today? Well, here it is: The first oprainfall Reader’s Game of the Year Award.

We wanted to know what your favorite game from this past year was. So, in order to accomplish that, we’ve come up with a list of 150 video games that have been well received by the gaming media as well as the oprainfall staff. All games that are listed released between January 1st and December 31st of 2013. You may vote for up to 10 games.

While we won’t remove a game just because it was unpopular with the masses, we will remove games if we accidentally got the release date wrong for the game. Also, if a game that was in your Top 10 isn’t on our list, let us know in the comments and we’ll add it into the poll.

The poll will remain open from now through January 14th. At Midnight PT on the 15th, the poll will close and we will open a new poll featuring the Top 10 from the Preliminary vote. The Finals vote will go on through January 21st, with the winner revealed during our oprainfall Awards posts.

Other than that, it’s pretty much up to you how you want to vote. If you want to vote for only original games rather than vote for any remakes or if you think that there aren’t 10 games that deserve your nod for Game of the Year, that’s fine.

The poll closes in two weeks. Happy voting!

Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.
