Possibly in honor of the recently released Ys: Memories of Celceta for the PlayStation Vita, XSEED is now putting three PSP Ys games on sale on the PlayStation Network: Ys I & II Chronicles, Ys: The Oath in Felghana, and Ys Seven.

For the next two weeks, all three games will be on sale for $7.49 USD. So if you haven’t played any of the games listed below, now would be a good time to buy them.

Be sure to check out our review of Ys I & II Chronicles!

Methinks it’s time to put some money in my PSN Wallet…

Does that mean it’s playable on the ps3? I’ve been eyeing this series for a long time but couldn’t bring myself to buy a PS just for it.

Nope their not playable on the PS3 at all. their PSP games playable on the Vita and PSP. also if you have a computer that isnt from 2001 you can try them on steam to although you trade Ys7 for Ys Origin for the PC releases (origin is fantastic as well and entirely worth playing) and the PC versions requirements are stupidly low like they run on my Netbook and back when they were released in 04 they were low requirements.

Fantastic deals Ys has stolen the spot of my favorite JRPG franchise beating out the like of SMT/Persona Tales FF etc. their just so good its like Zelda meets megaman or something. really hard to describe how awesome they are but trust me their so worth playing. Some of my favorite boss fights ever in a game Lots of stupidly good music fun stories tons of difficulty settings that feel well done and just overall fast fluid combat. Xseed has really done some justice with the scripts to.

Much like the SMT games, Ys are games I am curious about and have been purchasing, but haven’t played any yet. It looks like Ys Seven is PSP/Vita only, where most of the Ys games I’ve grabbed on Steam. Picked this one up. With any luck, I’ll have some method of playing them all in order (origin, 1-7?) between PC and handheld eventually. Not sure if 5 and 6 have any modern incarnations though, but I think the rest are available between steam/psp/vita now, right?

The article is wrong. Ys Seven is STILL not available on Steam (and it’s 2014). The one that is available is the PC exclusive (not a PSP port) of the excellet Ys Origin.

    But still,WHERE IS YS SEVEN
