Atlus Teaser Site

It’s been about a month since Atlus launched their mysterious Persona-related teaser site, The site doesn’t give us much, just a date, time, a list of cities, and some boxes that move slightly if you click them. Judging by the given date, an announcement associated with this mysterious site should be coming November 24th. Naturally, there’s a lot of room for speculation in terms of the nature of this teaser site and the coming announcement, but it seems we may have just received another clue.

In a recent interview with Play.Community, the Director of the Persona Team, Katsura Hashino, commented on the teaser site:

I believe that we’ll soon be able to tell you all the announcements we’ve been keeping, so please look forward to that day… if you’d allow me to simply leave it as that for now. However, I believe that we will be delivering news that will most likely please all the fans.

Considering that Hashino is very likely working on Persona 5 right now, could the announcement he’s teasing be about the newest entry in the Persona series? It’s impossible to say for sure, but given the other news we’ve been hearing related to Persona 5, it doesn’t seem unreasonable. Not only did Index register a Persona 5 domain, Hashino has also been teasing fans with unannounced titles.

At this point, there’s not much to do other than cross our fingers and wait for November 24th. Be sure to stay tuned for more upcoming news on Atlus’ mysterious teaser site!

Still wondering about that possible 3DS Persona game.

    • Xx_Kares_xX

I’m not.. there have been 3 Shin Megami Tensei games on the console already and only one game on home consoles this gen that I’m aware of (Persona 4 Arena) isn’t anyone else ready for a home console title?

    • Johnson Cameron

Same i would like a home console release of Persona 5, it is worth releasing especially with the success of Persona 4.

    • Thanatos2k

Ugh, no more flagship RPG series going to handhelds. I’m sick of it. I want to play RPGs on my TV, thanks.

  • SteveThompson1

For the love of god don’t pull a square enix twewy and announce an ios game.

    • James McEneely

You mean port a desired title onto iOS instead of letting the West get it *coughNamcoBandaicough*?

    • SteveThompson1

No set up a teaser site when only an idiot wouldn’t realize that people would assume its for a very desired sequel.

    • Johnson Cameron

I do not believe it will. Square Enix is just trying to get as much sales as they can on the handheld market, and so far most likely they have been selling a lot more on Android and IOS devices than Vita and Nintendo 3DS. It only makes sense to have their games be downloadable on future platforms.

But i do think Persona 5 will be on Consoles, i can only hope it goes to PS4,PS3,Nintendo WII-U those consoles deserve it. But then again, it could be Shin Megami Tensei to WII-U and Persona 5 to PS4, which would make a lot of sense and it would be a win win for everyone.

    • Thanatos2k

You mean a Square Enix Deus Ex? I still boil with rage from that day.

  • Ultrapieguy

If Persona 5 is announced for the PS3 on that day, I’ll be reeaaaaaalllllyyyy happy.

  • Vallen

Alright so P5 for PS4 will make me happy or P5 for vita will also make me happy (I will pick up a vita from the store that same week and start replaying P4G)

  • Chris Penwell

It’s probably three games being announced at once. Persona 5, Persona 4 Arena 2 and Persona 3 Golden (or something like that).

    • Tara

Why would they make a “Persona 3 Golden”? FES was basically the definitive version of P3, I don’t really think they could do more to it right now (now do I think they should, P3’s had its day in the sun, so far as I see it. Not to mention you can play P3P on the Vita as it is.)

    • Chris Penwell

I would like to see a Persona 3 Golden because I did not enjoy how the game had a cursor rather than a full 3D world. If they re-did it with Persona 4’s engine, that game would be excellent!

    • Tara

Well, P4 is actually built with P3’s engine. ^^; Also, Persona 3 and FES on the PS2 actually did have 3D environments for most places, the only place that was point-and-click was the overworld map. P3P made a lot of things “point-and-click” as well as made all of the cutscenes into stills… but the PS2 versions are just like Persona 4.

  • Tara

I’d say that if he’s saying it will “please all the fans” then the implication is that it may be a multiplatform title. Which platforms? Who knows. I’d get PS3/360 since that’s what Catherine was on.

If he’s talking actual seperate announcements, though. No idea.

    • Johnson Cameron

Agreed, that was the same thing i was thinking when they were saying to “Please All Fans”. My guess personally would be next gen consoles like WII-U and PS4 along with the handheld systems, but then again i do not know if they will go with handhelds this time.

  • Thanatos2k

I’m pretty sure only an annoucement of Persona 5 would please *all* the fans, soooooooo
