Kingdoms of Amalur and More for PlayStation Plus in October

This is a big month for PlayStation Plus members. There are five big titles hitting the instant game collection (http://blog NULL.us NULL.playstation NULL.com/2013/09/27/playstation-plus-october-preview/) for the month of October. Titles included are Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, Hotline Miami, Shadow Of the Colossus and more. Let’s take a closer look at these titles:

Kingdoms of Amalur - oprainfall

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning: (PS3) This action RPG looks pretty interesting. It features four different races and three different classes, each with its own unique skills tree. Combat is done with timed button presses, with the occasional QTE thrown in there to spice things up. The world looks massive, and I can’t wait to check out all this one has to offer.

Shadow Of the Colossus - oprainfall

Shadow Of the Colossus: (PS3) This must be since we got ICO free last month. I was pretty happy to see this one show up in the instant games collection this time around. This is one of the best looking games the PlayStation 2 had to offer. Now it’s available with improved visuals and a better frame rate. I love the gameplay in this as well, it is very unique and challenging.

Hotline Miami - oprainfall

Hotline Miami: I have personally not checked this title out yet. I have heard some great things about it though. This bloody top-down 2D action game looks to be packed with a ton of gore and a pretty decent story to boot. This is a cross buy for the PS3 and Vita.

The other two titles hitting the instant game collection this month are:

Sine Mora (PS Vita)

Poker Night 2 (PS3)

About Steve Baltimore

Steve started with oprainfall not long after the campaign moved from the IGN forums to Facebook. Ever since, he has been fighting to give all non-mainstream RPGs a fair voice. As the site admin, he will continue do to this and even show there is value in what some would deem "pure ecchi." He loves niche games and anime more than anything... well, except maybe Neptune.
