E3 2013 Sony PlayStation 4 - oprainfall

Sony certainly showed their love for indie developers at this year’s gamescom. A plethora of indie titles were announced for the PlayStation 4 and PS Vita, and the word “exclusive” was thrown around quite a lot. I was impressed with a few of these games, and I am sure that most of you will be able to find something that suits you as well. With the price drop for the Vita and the influx of indie support, Sony certainly made many fans happy today and even remarked on the fact that they are putting the games and gamers first.

The following are PS3, PS4, and PS Vita indie games that were announced:

Rogue Legacy (Cellar Door Games)

Rogue Legacy - oprainfall

Coming to PS3, PS4 and PS Vita. This game will have you dying over and over again. Your children will avenge your death, or die trying, so have no worries. Well, maybe a few worries since you are going to die and be stuck in a vicious cycle that only you can break!

The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth (Nicalis)

The BInding of Isac: Rebirth - oprainfall

Exclusive to the PS4 and Vita, this title will be coming next Spring. PS Plus members will be able to enjoy it at no additional cost. Nicalis are remaking this smash hit and have added in enough content to fill up a whole new game with things like co-op play, new characters, bosses, and an optional 16-bit makeover.

N++ (Metanet)

N++ - oprainfall

Exclusive to the PS4 and due out this Winter, N++ is the final and definitive installment of the N series. It will have a new art style, multiplayer modes, and thousands of hand-crafted levels. Included in the game will also be the tools you need to create, share, and compete with your own levels.

Guns of Icarus Online (Muse Games)

Guns of Icarus Online - oprainfall

Pilot a variety of majestic airships in this PS4 exclusive game.

 Starbound (Chucklefish)

Starbound - oprainfall

Players control a character who has just fled from their home planet and crash landed on another. You encounter creatures, weapons, populated villages, other planets, dungeons and more as you embark upon your quest to survive in Starbound for the Vita. The game allows players to live out their own space exploration story.

Velocity 2X (FuturLab)

Velocity 2X - oprainfall

A puzzle-platformer game for the Vita that offers some action with top-down shoot ’em up gameplay. Velocity 2X has players controlling the teleporting Quarp Jet as they outsmart enemies during space combat. You can then dock your ship and infiltrate enemy space stations.
