live action kenshin

More live action Kenshin? Yes please! If you’ve seen the first live-action adaption of Kenshin written by Nobuhiro Wasuki, then you’ll be aware of how good it was. If you know the series but haven’t yet seen the film, you should definitely check it out. You might also be aware that after the success of the original, there were rumours of a possible sequel going into production. Well, you’re in luck. Shonen Jump has confirmed this week that the series is being made into a trilogy.

They’re kicking it off with the fan favourite Kyoto Arc, due to come out next summer (2014). This storyline will, of course, follow the main protagonist  Himura Keshin, a political assassin turned into a non-lethal protector. He will be facing off against his replacement, who has doubled down on a commitment to a philosophy of survival of the fittest.
