Killer is Dead - Gigolo

Killer is Dead - Gigolo Mission Gift

Goichi Suda, also known as Suda51, spoke in a recent interview about his upcoming game, Killer is Dead. The discussion revolved around the various Gigolo Missions of which you’ll take part in the game. When asked where the idea for Gigolo Missions came from, Suda said that it was something that was originally going to be in Shadows of the Damned, one of his previous games that was published by EA. He explained that “Shadows of the Damned was split into five different chapters. If we would have done it, gigolo mode would have been in the first three parts because the story changes afterwards.”

Suda then showcased one of these Gigolo Missions in a demo for Killer is Dead. There are two meters that represent Mondo’s guts on the left and a meter on the right representing a girl’s mood. You can leer at a girl to increase Mondo’s guts, but it’ll cause the girl’s mood to decrease. Suda stated that you have to sneak a peak at the girl while she isn’t looking, like when she turns her head away.

A good way to boost Mondo’s guts is to use the special x-ray glasses that let him see what’s underneath her clothing. This also lets you know what kind of gifts she likes…somehow. In the demo, Natalia loved jewelry. After your guts meter is full, you can give a gift to the girl and fill up a heart meter depending on the gift. Since Natalia loved jewelry, the shiny gift Mondo gave her near the end of the demo filled the heart meter to its maximum amount. After that, the two went to have some private time. Completing this Gigolo Mission successfully rewarded Mondo with some money and upgrades for his robotic arm.

Killer is Dead is set for release on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on August 27.
