Ace Attorney Investigations 2 is the only game in the Ace Attorney series that hasn’t made it outside of Japan. While many people assumed that this was because of the first Ace Attorney Investigations’ low sales, series producer Motohide Eshiro stated that the main reason why this never left Japan was because of scheduling. He explained that “the staff for Ace Attorney Investigations 2—after they finished developing the game, they were disbanded and went to different teams, so they weren’t in a position to localize.”
When asked about whether Ace Attorney Investigations 2 will still see an international release, Eshiro stated that he “can’t make any promises.” It’s worth noting that Chris Svensson previously stated that talks about the game’s localization were ongoing and that the success of Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney HD Trilogy would help sway that decision.
