Xbox 360 | 2013 model

With all the hype about the Xbox One, you’d think the Xbox 360 would be forgotten. Apparently not! Today, Microsoft announced they are coming out with a brand-new model. The new version has a slim, sleek look. Microsoft says they have “never been more committed” to the Xbox 360. Also, Xbox Live Gold members will receive two free games per month. Among the free games confirmed are Halo 3 and Assassin’s Creed II.

About Phil Schipper

Phil N. Schipper joined the Operation Rainfall staff to review Android games, but soon fell in love with writing news articles and Games of the Past. His dream is to make a living writing sci-fi and fantasy novels, which is why he leads the Obscure Authors Alliance in his free time. Still, even in his stories, which usually involve insane people, video games are one of his strongest influences. He describes himself as "a Mr. Nice Guy with a horrible, horrible dark side."

So they’ve noticed the success of PS+, it seems.

I’ll have to see how this looks, I think it’d be a good idea for me to buy a second 360 so I have one available for when my Falcon eventually fails, since it’s in the timeframe where the systems did still have a decent chance of failure. If I don’t like the new design, might try to get the current slim console. (Gotta do the same for the PS3, to be honest.)
