Lightning Returns Snow

It appears Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII has added Snow Villiers to its list of returning characters. Snow first made an appearance in Final Fantasy XIII as a playable character central to the plot. He made a short guest appearence in Final Fantasy XIII-2, and now it looks like we’ll get to see him in Lightning Returns  as a non-playable character. In addition, Snow’s character design did see another update. While his attire changed from XIII to XIII-2, it looks like he’s changed his wardrobe yet again and is looking pretty awesome:

Cue the fangirl swooning!

Lightning Returns is set after XIII-2, and is intended to wrap up the story arc of the Fabula Nova Crystallis series which began in XIII. It will feature a battle system similar to its predecessors, but revamped slightly to give the player more control. Those who are frustrated with the linear nature of the Final Fantasy series will be glad to hear that the game supposedly will feature varying routes. The game is scheduled for release on PS3 and Xbox 360 in late November of 2013 in Japan and February 2014 everywhere else.

With the release still fairly far out, it’s likely we’ll see at least a few more announcements like this one, so stay tuned for more Lightning Returns news!
