Ladies and gentlemen, let me take you back a little ways. The day before the January 23rd Nintendo Direct (you know, the one that featured the “X” announcement), Soraya Saga retweeted Nintendo of Japan’s post promoting the presentation. Everyone behind the scenes at oprainfall thought, “No way. Could a new game from Monolith Soft be possible?” Our proverbial hype-meter skyrocketed to 11, and lo and behold—Iwata delivered.

Soraya Saga

It’s happened again, folks. And given that the Nintendo Direct announced for 6/11/13 is the “Almighty E3 Direct” that everyone’s been waiting for, I can bet that history will repeat itself. Will we see more amazing footage from “X”? Will Nintendo drop an even bigger bomb and…confirm an HD re-release of Xenoblade for Wii U?

… I hear some of your thoughts coming to a screeching halt. Here’s something from earlier that should illuminate:

It seems that Best Buy and Walmart are both listing Xenoblade for the Wii U, pre-order and everything. Though I must stress that this is most likely an error, due in part to someone not understanding the difference between Xenoblade and Monolith’s new recently revealed title for the Wii U simply called “X”…

…there is a -slight- chance of it being an HD Remake for Xenoblade. Not much, but the possibility is there.

I’ll be among the handful of oprainfall Staff headed to E3, which, by the way, starts hours after that Nintendo Direct is scheduled to air. But… you can bet I’ll be up at 7AM that morning, ready to give you all my usual Nintendo Direct Recap. We have plenty of awesome stuff planned for E3 that we’ll start rolling out soon enough. Are you guys hyped? I know we are.

Only a few more weeks to go! Until then, here’s a look at a trailer so many of us have come to love.
