Toaru Hikūshi e no Koiuta

An anime adaptation has been confirmed for prequel to The Princess and the Pilot (To Aru Hikūshi e no Tsuioku). The Princess and the Pilot, a fantasy light novel written by Koroku Inumura, received an anime film adaptation in 2011. It seems that its prequel, A Love Song to a Certain Airship Pilot (Toaru Hikūshi e no Koiuta), will also receive an anime adaptation as announced by Gagaga Bunko.

The Princess and the Pilot

The Princess and the Pilot (pictured above) is a fantasy romance light novel which tells the story of Charles Karino, a pilot who must protect Fana Del Moral, the heir to the emperor’s throne. A Love Song to a Certain Airship Pilot (pictured below) is set in the same world, but takes place much earlier. It chronicles the stories of Karueru, a former prince who meets Claire on his journey to find the end of the heavens. Specific details on the film adaptation are still to come.
