Shin Megami Tensei IV

Atlus USA has released a new English trailer for the newest addition in the long line of Shin Megami Tensei games. The new trailer gives us western fans a quick peek at the localization work of Shin Megami Tensei IV, introducing English voices, translated menus, battle mechanics, dungeon exploration, and a quick synopsis of the game’s plot line. Check it out right here:

Shin Megami Tensei IV is a follow up to Atlus’ previous SMT title, Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne — which also got a Western localization, releasing on October 12, 2004 in North America and July 1, 2005 in Europe. Shin Megami Tensei IV follows the tradition of its predecessors in that it puts the players in the shoes of a silent protagonist who, through exploring a dark, chaotic world, will have to recruit various demons to build a powerful army to proceed through the game.

Shin Megami Tensei IV is slated for a Japanese release on May 23, 2013, a North American release for July 16, 2013, and a European release on a unspecified date for this Summer. For more information on the game and ways to purchase it, Atlus’ own Shin Megami Tensei IV official U.S. site is open to serve.
