  • Can’t wait so is this a limited retailer thing where you can get the limited edition or can i get it anywhere like amazon and what not

  • Awesome……………………………… wait a minute, what happened to the Voices?
Please tell me that you can place them back, because I just saw text boxes with what was normally Voice Acting.

    • Don’t worry. They said they would not touch the voices. It’s just how the edit the video for now. XD

  • DO WANT.

  • There’s a Gamers Day? Awesome.

  • smacd

Everything I’ve heard calls this a strategy RPG, but that video makes it look like a Mortal Kombat style fighter.

    • its a more action based tactics game. think of it like Valkyria Chronicles in the sense that its more action oriented and less like Fire Emblem or Vanguard bandits.

  • Ibi Salmon

I want to get this game, but I’m afraid that I won’t know over half of the characters featured in this game.

    • GHNeko

And that’s understandable (especially on the Sega side.)

But this is a great chance to get to know the characters from the obscure series. Learning about them gets you interested in them, and might have you go out to get the games of their respective franchises.

Complacency is good and all, but moving out of what you know is the only way to expand your horizons.

    • Ibi Salmon

Good point. If it wasn’t for Tales of the World:Radient Mythology, I wouldn’t have known how many great characters the Tales series has.

I’m just afraid that some references that may be present in the game might be lost on me and I may not get the full experience the way a long term fan of all three companies might.

Still, that won’t stop me from keeping an eye on this game.

    • GHNeko

Considering they’re using the original main characters from Namco x Capcom in this game, there is no doubt that references will be lost on you if you’re not familiar with the many series in the game.

But hey, the whole game is a love letter to fans, so references exclusive to each franchise/series will be present for the fan that has played the games of the franchise into their memory.

So yea, expect for things to go over your head, but at the same time, I feel like at the very most they’ll be nods and small jokes that wont detract significantly from the series.

Expanding on my original point, if you fall for a character you’re unfamiliar with and backtrack to play their respective series, I’ll remember the references from PXZ no doubt and chuckle at whatever went over your head.

    • Ibi Salmon

I guess that’s another way of looking at it.

Looks like I have yet another 3DS game I’ll be purchasing.

  • so any updates on wherther Amazon is going to be giving out the limited edition or is it like every retailer in the US going to be giving it out?
