On Thursday, April 11, Crunchyroll will begin airing My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU and Photo Kano, which look like similar romantic teen comedies.

My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU follows the exploits of the reclusive Hachiman Hikigaya, whose disinterest in making friends or creating high school experiences is thwarted after joining –under the coercion of a faculty member– a “Services Club” run by the attractive, popular, and intelligent Yukino Yukinoshita. Additionally, there is Yui Yuigahama, a bright and cheerful girl who demands the club’s assistance in baking cookies, which will ultimately serve as a catalyst for many romantic misadventures to come.

The series is directed by Ai Yoshimura (Oreimo and Gintama), and is produced by Brains Base (Baccano!, Natsume Yujin-cho). My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU is originally a series of light novels by Wataru Watari.

Photo Kano follows Kazuya Maeda, whose struggle with approaching his maturing friend Nimi causes him to blend in with crowds and abandon self-worth in his high school freshman year. When he receives a digital SLR camera from his father, his world is subject to change for the following year, as it will thrust him into talking with girls and taking their pictures. With instant photographic results and no lab processing required, Kazuya has nothing to lose with his camera. With some talent and a bit of a push, he may become the biggest chick magnet in town.

Photo Kano is directed by Akitoshi Yokoyama (Deadman Wonderland, Eureka Seven), and is produced by Madhouse (Ninja Scroll, Death Note, Cardcaptor Sakura, High School of the Dead). It is based off the dating sim game on PlayStation Portable by the same name.

So, which out of the two are you looking forward to watching the most? Be sure to comment!
