Ghostlight

As you might have known already Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked was brought of over to Europe. And it’s no big secret that there are some issues with the game. That’s why Ghostlight has been working with Atlus and Nintendo on a patch to fix some of the problems that have been occurring with Devil Survivor Overclocked.

Here’s a small bit of what Ghostlight said on their blog:

We have been in contact with Atlus who are already looking into fixing the possible causes of problems when summoning a demon in to a battle along with the intermittent crash found in the Auction House. Nintendo have also been contacted and will be able to help us both quickly and efficiently through the process of looking at a patch solution.

Ghostlight asks for your continued support and patience on their first 3DS release.

About Theophilus Fox

Former Volunteer- My name is Theophilus Fox, I've been a gamer since as long as I can remember, and I also enjoy manga and anime. I'm a Nintendo fan, although I do not discriminate between franchises. I'm a guy who just loves to make jokes and generally have a fun time.

Nice. I’m no European but I’m glad Atlus and Nintendo and of course Ghostlight are taking care of this problem. Hopefully very soon.

  • “some issues” is funny. The game’s practically unplayable without demon summoning 😛

    • It’s not as bad as you’d think it is. I finished the US copy of the game on one of the hardest routes and I believe I only used the summoning function twice or so and I’m sure I could have gotten by without it entirely if I put some effort into it.

I haven’t played this series, but isn’t demon summoning a pretty big part of the game? How could this get through play testing?

    • There must have been none. I can’t find any other explanation for it.

And demon summoning isn’t the only issue. The game mixes up the first and last name of the protagonist (and by extent, his cousin) which can lead to some confusion regarding plot points.
