Many people are happy to see Phoenix Wright make a comeback in the upcoming Ace Attorney 5, to be sure. However, some people like myself were a bit disappointed with the lack of previous series protagonist Apollo Justice. Thankfully, it seems that he’ll be making a return appearance in Ace Attorney 5, as well.

Ace Attorney 5 - Apollo Justice

The leaked image seen above has recently been circulating the internet. Along with that new jacket, he seems to have a new eye-bandage, suggesting that he lost an eye sometime between the events of Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney and Ace Attorney 5. What role he plays in this upcoming game and how he lost his eye is currently unknown. Hopefully, Capcom will shed some light on this new mystery soon.

About Kyle Emch

Kyle has been studying music at college for about three years now. He's played the piano since he was 6 years old and has been recently been learning how to write music. He has followed the Operation Rainfall movement on Facebook since it started and was happy to volunteer for the website. Just don't mention Earthbound or the Mother franchise around him.

  • YUNO

He probably shot his eye out with Red Ryder BB Gun.

  • Joshua Slone

Considering one of Apollo’s tricks was being able to notice things like facial twitches as signs of lies, damage to his sight could be a Bad Thing.

  • Yay i love Apollo this is great news for me <3

  • Wasn’t one of the plot points of AA5 a courthouse explosion? I’d say he lost, or damaged, his eye in that. Look closely at his arms: they’re bandaged too, implying that he might have a lot more damage than just his eye.

  • You know, I haven’t finished Apollo Justice yet. I don’t know why, but I can’t bring myself to do so.

  • EEEEEEEEE! *squeals like a fanboy* 😀

  • “Apollo! What happened to you?!”
“Well, I was going to take a drink, but I missed the straw, and it poked my eye…”

  • Crapcom objects to no DLC

Doesn’t matter if it doesn’t get localized

For some reason I’m seeing his eye bandage as some sort of Kakashi of Naruto like thing. Perhaps he has been training and his ability to see ‘tells’ has gotten so good that he has to hide his eye when not it use else he finds himself constantly analyzing every little detail around him?
