Pikachu 3DS XL

So, Nintendo of America released a commercial for the upcoming Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity game for the 3DS. Aside from it being generally entertaining, you might notice something interesting in this commercial. One of the actors in this ad is holding a Pikachu-themed 3DS XL. This particular system hasn’t been announced for North America at the time of writing, yet it appears in this commercial.

This is not the first time Nintendo has made a Pokemon-themed system and released it stateside. At this point, I’d be surprised if this Pikachu-themed 3DS XL didn’t get released here. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity will be released in a couple weeks, so we shall see.

If true, this’ll be the 3DS my girlfriend’s getting for her birthday!

    • Will she appreciate it, or is this sneaky way of getting yourself a limited edition 3DS? It’s brilliant either way.

    • Coarse

I’m happy with my regular 3DS. She needs one for Pokemon X/Y in October.

    • See, there. It’s still brilliant. You’ve already got a birthday present for her.
