Just as the title says, and to my personal amazement, the voice actor for PaRappa the Rapper is petitioning for another sequel to the hit game series, PaRappa the Rapper.  This whole thing start when Dred Foxx, the VA for PaRappa the Rapper, reprised his role as PaRappa in PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale.  This in turn caused a surge of nostalgia that led to the fans wanting a third installment in the series.

If you’re wondering where you can go to support this idea and share ideas of your own, you can visit this group and lend an ear to help in this pursuit.  On another note, Dred would like Masaya Matsuura to produce the music once again, as well as have a few guest rappers such as Snoop Dogg or Method Man.

My thoughts on this are that, although I’ve only played the first game,  I personally would not mind to see a third game in the series, and I know I’m not alone in this regard.  Let us know what you think.

About Theophilus Fox

Former Volunteer- My name is Theophilus Fox, I've been a gamer since as long as I can remember, and I also enjoy manga and anime. I'm a Nintendo fan, although I do not discriminate between franchises. I'm a guy who just loves to make jokes and generally have a fun time.

  • It’s all in the mind

The real problem with PaRappa is the original game, at $50, was a horrific rip off. Less than 4 hours of content? Seriously?

That said, it was an amazingly fun rental. But if they want to make a new game they’re going to need more than 10 hours of content somehow. Good luck.

    • That, or just make it a downloadable title that costs less!

    • Joshua Slone

Less than one hour if you didn’t screw up, though that probably wasn’t happening a lot on people’s first plays. But at the time there weren’t really many other music games to make it look short.

Cool… so it would be a third title in the series (arguably fourth if you count the spin-off Um Jammer Lammy) I really don’t see this as a product that’s all that in demand, and I’m a huge fan of rythmn games… it’s like other people already said, I’d never pay a full $60 for one of these… the only smart way to release it would be as a download title.

    • I think you’re right about the downloadable title idea.

  • can we also get an’ Medival sequel?

I miss dat dead humie Sir Daniel Fortesque.
