IGN’s Greg Miller recently had the pleasure of interviewing Gary Whitta, a story consultant for Telltale’s The Walking Dead, on their show Up At Noon. About 16 minutes into the show, Whitta gets around to telling us what we want to hear: The Walking Dead: Season 2. Unfortunately, what he says is that it’s still (understandably) very, very early in development, and is still quite a ways off. However, he goes on to surprise us with the unofficial announcement of The Walking Dead DLC. “There may very well be more Walking Dead from Telltale before season two. We may have a little something extra for you between season one and two.” He doesn’t give us any idea what this “something extra” might be, though.

Honestly, I was not expecting to hear that. I thoroughly enjoyed Telltale’s The Walking Dead and can’t wait for season 2, whenever it might happen. I’m equal parts excited and anxious for this extra content, though. What could it be? Will it wrap-up the short video after the credits of chapter 5? Will it involve characters we haven’t met, introducing us to the cast of season 2? If I had to guess, I’d say it would be the latter, but it could be both.

So, what do you think? Are you excited for season 2? Without posting (unmarked) spoilers, what do you think this extra content might be?
