It seems this Valentine’s Day is all about giving bundles to Europeans. Alongside the announcement that Fire Emblem: Awakening will be getting an exclusive European bundle, Nintendo of Europe have also announced that both versions of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate will be getting bundles of their own.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate will come packed with either a Wii U Deluxe and a black 3DS-XL. Both bundles will be released, in Europe, on March 22nd, 2013. The Circle Pad Pro XL will also be released on the same day.

Check out this exclusive video explaining how the connectivity between both consoles will work. It’s worth watching for the blooper at the end.

About David Rawlings

David Rawlings, or ‘Rawky’ as we like to call him, joined the Operation Rainfall Campaign at the beginning. He’s British and found solace with us as he was able to understand our pain about Nintendo and their localizing faux pas. He’s a big fan of the letter ‘U’ and refuses to remove them from words, even though we constantly ask him to. He also believes it’s about time Princess Daisy got kidnapped.

i am not going to complain. Europe needed, Wii U hasn’t done well at all. Good timing Nintendo.

    • Ibi Salmon

Last time I checked, the Wii U isn’t doing well….anywhere.

    • Ibi Salmon

I see. Well, all I’ve been hearing was how bad the Wii U launch was and how Nintendo is doomed for repeating the mistake they made with the 3DS. I’m glad to know that that isn’t the case.

However, it’s worth noting that Nintendo themselves aren’t happy with the Wii U sales as of now(hence the lowered expectations in sales).

    • Well, even though Nintendo aren’t happy with the Wii U sales, I think they were delusional to think that the Wii U would outpace the Wii during launch. That just wasn’t going to happen no matter what they did.

And as for what you’ve been hearing, console launches are always rough, but there are plenty of people on the internet who love nothing more than to jump all over something the minute there is an opportunity. And for various reasons, a lot of people in the part of the gaming community that frequent gaming sites really don’t like Nintendo, so that magnifies the negative press. Did Nintendo drop the ball in making sure there were at least some compelling games coming out in the beginning of 2013? Absolutely. Are they “doomed?” I mean, I can’t tell the future, but… seriously? (That’s not directed at you, by the way).

    • Ibi Salmon

I agree. With the way the economy is right now, there was no way the Wii U would outpace the Wii.

That’s what I’ve noticed recently. There seems to be a lot of hate for Nintendo for the decisions they made. I wouldn’t mind that(all of the big companies have haters) except some people seem to be almost glad that Nintendo isn’t doing well. It’s hard to explain.

    • To be honest, I really don’t think that the percentage of gamers who hate Nintendo is all that large. I do think that the group of gamers who hate them happens to coincide very closely to the group of gamers who frequent internet gaming sites. Both groups are very much a minority.

    • Ibi Salmon

I do hope you’re right about that.

    • Cesar Barroso

      prove it!

Obviously the Wii U will do well later on in the year as more good games show up, but right now things aren’t looking so good for the system.

    Congrats to Europeans!

And the US gets a ZombiU bundle… :

    • Ibi Salmon

What’s wrong with the ZombiU bundle?

    • XypherCode

I already got ZombiU. Liked the game but of course I’d prefer a MonHun bundle.

    • Ibi Salmon

I will admit, the Monster Hunter bundle looks better. But I don’t think the ZombiU bundle is a bad deal either.

    • Charlotte Buckingham

That’s just bizarre. Why would they release a bundle for a launch game NOW?

  • Lucky Europeans.

  • Charlotte Buckingham

YES I WAS HOPING FOR THIS
Hopefully I’ll be able to afford both this and the FE: Awakening bundle. 😀
