Etrian Odyssey is a series of hard core dungeon crawlers developed by Atlus. The first game sold poorly in Europe, and as a result, Etrian Odyssey II and Etrian Odyssey III never saw a PAL release. I had already accepted the fact that I would need to purchase an NTSC 3DS in order to play the latest entry in the series, Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan.

So, I was shocked to find out that Nintendo of Europe have decided to release the latest entry in the series! Not only did they show a trailer for the game during their Nintendo Direct, but they have confirmed via Twitter that it will indeed be coming out here, and it will be doing so this Spring.

Being a huge fan of the first game with plans to import the next two, Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan is a must-buy for me.

Don’t know much about the series? That’s okay; Atlus are going to be reprinting the first three games, and Amazon have recently had all three of them restocked, making it much easier to get a hold of the games for a reasonable price.

Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan will be released in the Americas on the 26th of February. Stay tuned for more updates on the European release!
