Brütal Legend now has a Windows PC multiplayer beta available on Steam. Developer Double Fine says that those who pre-order the game will get immediate access to the multiplayer beta in addition to two exclusive Team Fortress 2 items: Brütal Legend main character Eddie Riggs’ hair and his guitar Clementine.

“Adding a PC release to Brütal Legend’s list of conquests risks raising the world’s ambient Metal saturation to dangerously high levels,” says Double Fine President Tim Schafer, “which is why we’re conducting this closed beta test for preorders.”

Brütal Legend for Windows can be pre-ordered on Steam for $14.99 USD, 25% off the regular price. While you have your credit card out to purchase the game, you can also pick up the original soundtrack composed by Peter McConnell. If you bundle it with your purchase, it will run you $3.75 extra ($4.99 regular price). According to Double Fine, you can also buy it separately at the price of $7.99. However, as of this writing, the soundtrack does not appear to be purchasable yet on its own.

For more information, including “super-nerdy graphical and performance details,” read the announcement on Double Fine’s website.
