Skylanders SWAP Force

Activision’s Skylanders game franchise has taken the world by storm with it’s innovative “Toys to Life” gameplay mechanic. For those that don’t know, each year during the annual Toy Fair at the Javits Center in New York City, Activision showcases their new Skylanders figures and the respective games they go hand in hand with. With Toy Fair just a couple of days away (February 10-13), Activision will feature the next installment to the series: Skylanders SWAP Force, planned for a fall release. SWAP Force adds a “swap-ability” that allows you to interchange the tops and bottoms of 16 SWAP Force figurines to make “more than 250 unique combinations.”

Skylanders SWAP Force

A knight perfectly suited for underwater adventures.

You may be asking,”But what am I going to do with my old Skylander figurines?” Well, Activision confirmed full compatibility with the entire collection of characters from Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure and last year’s Skylanders Giants. But here is the best part: you, the player, now have the ability to jump! Huzzah!

Skylanders SWAP Force will have you travel to the mysterious Cloudbreak Islands, where players must put an end to Kaos’ new evil plan and reassemble the Swap Force Skylanders. Be sure to check back tomorrow for the trailer.
