In a recent blog post, developer Phil Fish stated that he had several plans for 2013. One of said plans is to finally bring FEZ to other platforms this year. He did not say what platforms will be getting this game yet. One would hope that the Wii U would be one of the systems that the game would come to, but considering his previous experience with WiiWare, that seems unsure.

Even though the game came out some 9-ish months ago now, i don’t feel like any of it has really sunken in yet. Between the game and the documentary, too much happened. Too much to process. I feel like i learned something, but i dont know exactly what it is yet. Keep your mouth shut maybe?

Between Sundance, IGTM, winning the IGF, becoming a notorious racist, the game coming out, the patch incident, becoming a notorious asshole, travelling the world, battling a brutal post-partum depression and finding love, my ears are still ringing.

2012 was crazy.

But what now?

2013 is going to be an interesting one, too.

He also said that he planned on releasing a soundtrack for FEZ. Aside from that, he doesn’t have any other concrete plans. Expect to hear more Polytron-related news in the future.

About Kyle Emch

Kyle has been studying music at college for about three years now. He's played the piano since he was 6 years old and has been recently been learning how to write music. He has followed the Operation Rainfall movement on Facebook since it started and was happy to volunteer for the website. Just don't mention Earthbound or the Mother franchise around him.

Well considering that his previous experience was exactly that…the Wiiware (ouch)!

Nintendo have since vastly improve its stance with indies games starting with the 3DS and now the Wii U eShop. So there is still hope…

  • It looks like a fun little game.  I liked VVVVVV, another pixelated platformer, so this might be something to keep an eye on.

I don’t care if this was the greatest game in the history of the planet, I would not support Phil Fish.

Fish is an inconsiderate, obnoxious asshole. No way am I supporting him.
