The sequel to 2011’s Dark Souls, Dark Souls II, has been announced.  While the game is confirmed for Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and PC releases, there is no word on a Wii U version.  While the previous Dark Souls and its predecessor, Demon Souls, were not released on Nintendo platforms, it is a bit strange that Namco Bandai wouldn’t open the series to a new audience with the latest console, even though that console has shown itself to be every bit as capable as its competitors.

Worry not, Nintendo fans, as there is still a chance for Dark Souls II to come to the Wii U.  A petition has gone up on Change.com to show that there is interest in this game coming to Nintendo’s new console.  The petition still needs quite a few signatures, so be sure to show your support if you would like to see this game come to the Wii U.
