Monster Hunter

Behold, a new gameplay video for Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate HD! The title, which is an enhanced edition of a Wii game first released in 2009, will be released for the Wii U at launch in Japan. This version will feature both local and online multiplayer, as well as cross play between the Wii U and the 3DS. The cross play between the two systems will involve switching save files in order to play the two games alongside each other. Check out the video below to get a hands on look at the connectivity between the Wii U and the 3DS, as well as a quick peek at battles and high scale monsters in High-Definition.

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate HD will be released in Japan on December 8, 2012. Localization of the game has been announced for March 2013 at the moment.

  • Looks great.  I’m really liking the crossplay.  Hopefully other games will pick up on this feature (Hint, Smash Bros., Hint!).

This makes me really glad I preordered a WiiU.
