The only thing Nintendo loves more than bananas are games!

What do you think about this line-up? What games will you be picking up at launch, if any at all? Let us know in the comments.

  • That’s quite a launch line up.

Am I the only one who doesn’t think this launch line up is all that great? Other than Pikmin 3, which now looks like a 2013 release, there is nothing that I am really dying to play. I know that I’ll end up getting a U and New Bros. U someday, but right now I don’t see anything even close to being worth getting the console for. When I think of a good launch line up, I think of the one that the Gamecube had. Super Smash Bros. Melee by itself made the Gamecube worth getting at launch, and there was Pikmin 1 and Luigi’s Mansion to go with it. I just don’t get what people see in the U’s launch games. Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad to see that people are excited for the U, and I’m sorry for being such a downer about it, but I just don’t get why people are so hyped for it. And I’ve been a huge Nintendo fan since the 64 days.

I strongly agree. I don’t think there is much of a lineup at first… All we have to do is wait and see. The price is expensive, limited games so its best to keep your current console for the time being. Besides, we don’t own a Nintendo console/handheld as our primary gaming system.

  • “pulled out all the stops”
But yeah, people kept asking for more games at launch, so Nintendo delivered more games at launch!  I’m looking forward to playing titles that were finalized on Wii U hardware like Ninja Gaiden and Trine 2.  TANK is also looking to be a smashing multiplayer title

  • The lineup severely lacks jrpgs. The only one announced was the Monolithsoft new IP (that wasn’t actually confirmed to be a jrpg, but I doubt it won’t), it needs more of them.

Are you sure Reggie will keep his promise? Because we all know that gaming companies are kings of spreading broken promises to the customers, its all about whether they will deliver the product or not. We don’t even know whether the Wii will be supported after the Wii U’s released?
First, the Wii U has impressive titles, so its not so bad, but in future, they will have to start picking up speed with more quality titles and RPG genres.

    My body is ready, Nintendo!
