Long-time dedicated Japanese gaming website Andria Sang has sadly come to an end. Earlier today, website founder Anoop Gantayat  posted the announcement of the site’s closure.

As stated here, he would like to go explore greener pastures and this opportunity will keep him too busy to continue with the website:

“I’ve decided to take up a new non game-related opportunity that I reckon will keep me super ultra busy, so I will be ceasing daily updates.”

Thankfully the website’s archives and comments will remain:

“The site’s archive and comments will remain in place, so you can still consult old content and share it with your children, and one day their children too.”

Regrettably, it’s sad to see Anoop and go, but everyone here at Operation Rainfall thanks him for all that he has done over the years for Japanese games and wish him all the best in his future endeavors.

Wow, didn’t see that coming. That’s a shame, but I guess we’ll see what Anoop has planned now!

    • RyanOPR

Sounds like something away from games. Maybe a personal job offer for a company.

  • what did this company make game wise?

    • RyanOPR

It wasn’t a game making company, it was a website that brought gaming news from Japan. It was often the go-to-place for any Japanese gaming news. They translated Japanese news into English so us Westerners knew what was up.

  • I still can’t believe the site is going offline. It was pretty much THE website for gaming news from Japan. I wish Anoop the best of luck with his next project.

Does someone another website like andriasang???? I’ve just discovered it some weeks ago xD I want to know the latest gaming news from japan D=!!

    • RyanOPR

Well we try to post a lot of gaming news out of Japan. But, there is also Siliconera as well.

  • Wait, isn’t Andriasang the place to go when it comes to Japanese video game news and stuff? What will we do without it then? Who will replace or fill the gap?

    • RyanOPR

We’re going to try. Though it may be a while before we are Andriasang big

  • Juuu

Siliconera and Gematsu are both perfectly wonderful substitutes for all your news needs, imho. ^^ It’s sad to see them go, though. :c  I visited daily.
