Not a whole lot on the Nintendo Download this week. Seems to be a recurring theme in the month of August, isn’t it? The only eShop game of interest is VectorRacing ($6.99), a racing game similar to F-Zero. But considering that this game is a port of the iOS version, which only costs $0.99, I’d be careful. Unless the 3DS version has way more content than the iOS version (besides the gimmicky 3D technology, I mean), I wouldn’t want to pay seven times as much as I’d pay on iOS.

Also, D4 Enterprise is picking up the slack by releasing Metal Slug X (Neo Geo) on the Virtual Console for 900 points. It’s an improved version of Metal Slug 2, so if you like that series and haven’t played that particular game, or if you’ve never played the series before, this would be a good title to check out.
