Capcom released a 5 minute gameplay trailer for the HD re-release of Okami. Originally released on the PlayStation 2, it followed subsequently with a re-release two years later for the Nintendo Wii which added motion controls to the mix. The trailer shows off a puzzle/action segment all the while boasting the  game’s impressive art & visuals in fabulous 720p.(Set quality of video to 720p to see the results.)

Along with cleaned up visuals, the PS3 re-release will support widescreen 16:9 aspect ratio and motion controls via the PlayStation Move controller.

Okami HD will be released in Japan on the 1st of November . The West is still on for the fourth quarter of this year.

  • Sometimes I wonder when Capcom is going to stop milking Okami dry and make a sequel, like Okamiden, but on consoles and continuing the adventures of Amaterasu, or maybe some other Japanese deity if they want to be creative.

    • I’m still waiting for Capcom to make Viewtiful Joe 3.

    • the studio involved with the original Okami game has been disbanded so expecting another okami game at this point is impractical.

    • Why?  It’s not like Capcom can’t get another team together to make an Okami sequel.
