This week’s Game of the Weekend on the eShop is Colors! 3D, which will be reduced down to $3.99 this weekend. Colors! 3D isn’t really a game so much as it is an art program for your 3DS that lets you create 3D art. I’m not good at drawing, so I’m not one to judge the game. But I have a few artistically talented friends who use the program often, claiming that it’s really good. So, if you’ve got a talent for drawing, now’s a good time to check this title out.

In addition, Super Mario Bros. will be discounted to $3.99 on the eShop until August 1st as part of a four-week promotion for New Super Mario Bros. 2, presumably alongside the usual Game of the Weekend promotions. The other three titles that will be discounted include Super Mario Land ($2.99) from August 2nd to the 8th, Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins ($2.99) from August 9th to the 15th, and Mario’s Picross ($2.99) from August 16th to the 22nd.

Finally, Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 ($3.99) and Mole Mania ($2.99) will be available on the eShop as part of Nintendo’s 8-Bit Summer. In addition to that, Planet Crashers ($9.99), an RPG developed by the people that brought you Mutant Mudds and Bomb Monkey, will also be available today. Look forward to our review of the game in the future.

  • I bought colors 3d when I got my 3DS. I haven’t used it much since then, but it definitely is a good little program and I’m sure one day I’ll start it up and learn it. There are a number of digital images that people have made with this floating around the internet, and they look incredible. The fact that you can play with the 3D aspect is really cool too.

  • Not sure if I’ll be getting this.
