GAME Australia is finally going to be shutting down for good. One of GAME’s administrators, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, announced yesterday that 16 stores would close that day, with all the remaining stores set to be closing down soon.

GAME has been in financial trouble for some time, even finding themselves unable to stock Diablo III when it launched. They began cutting jobs a month ago to try and save costs. A further blow was dealt to the company when they were unable to find anyone willing to buy them out.

GAME is now going to be entering liquidation, and I personally am sad to be seeing them go. My sympathies go out to their employees.

Yeah. I hear ya. Luckily I picked up the special offer for the Xbox 360, hard drive and charger and my Deathsmiles Deluxe Edition game, as its pretty hard to find rare games these days (i.e. Japanese games translated)
