Aksys Games is putting the BIT.TRIP SAGA collection for 3DS on sale. Wow, it seems like everyone but Nintendo is doing digital sales on eShop. Starting September 1st, you will be able to pick up the normally $14.99 game for only $4.99.
If you’re not familiar with BIT.TRIP SAGA, it is a collection of ports of the highly-acclaimed WiiWare (though they have since been ported to other platforms) series BIT.TRIP. This particular collection is considered bare bones, especially compared to the more elaborate BIT.TRIP Collection on the Wii, which was originally the same price. These days though, the cheapest you can get the Wii collection new is $8.80 on Amazon. If you are going to download them through WiiWare or Steam without a sale, the cost is much higher, so this could be a good way for newbies to pick up the complete set.
Our own Rose Weitz thought that the sequel, BIT.TRIP Presents… Runner2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien was pretty good, so the pedigree is there. I’ll be picking this up. Anyone else thinking of taking the plunge?
