Dragon Fantasy: Book II will be hitting PSN for PS3 and PS Vita on September 10th. This game is a follow up to the original Dragon Fantasy, and features an all new combat system, improved graphics, and much more. This title is a cross buy, and will run you $14.99 with a discount for PlayStation Plus members when it releases. I reviewed the first game, and had a blast playing it. I cannot wait to continue my journey with Ogden and company!
Press release:
Oakland, CA. – August 19th, 2013 – Muteki Corp., an indie developer of 16-bit era homage games, is pleased to announced their classic RPG tale, Dragon Fantasy Book II, is ready to launch on both the PlayStation 3 and Vita next month! “Book II really pushes Westeria into the 16- and 32-bit era with all new graphics and mechanics with strong influences from Lufia II, Final Fantasy VI, and Chrono Trigger,” said Adam Rippon, Creative Director. “We’re pleased to be a part of the Vita Summer Select lineup, just as we were part of the Sony Spring Fever Sale with Book I”.
Whether you’re new to the Dragon Fantasy series or played Book I, there’s plenty of Westeria to explore! With new mechanics, new graphics, on-screen enemies, cloud saving and cross buy, Dragon Fantasy Book II is a steal at just $14.99 USD – and on sale for $11.99 USD for PlayStation Plus members during its launch week, starting September 10th. A European release of both Book I & II is scheduled for later this year.
Muteki will have a full playable version of Dragon Fantasy: Book II available for play during PAX Prime. Continuing the story of Book I, Ogden’s adventure will find him not only joining forces with the Woodsman, Anders, and new characters, but tackling a foe who may have been pulling strings from behind the scenes for longer than anyone had anticipated.
