Mario Kart fans may want to start firing up those engines, as the newest title in the franchise, Mario Kart 8, may have a confirmed release date. In a recent newsletter from Nintendo Europe, Mario Kart 8 was given a release date for the Spring of 2014.
While no specific day was issued, Mario Kart 8 may be getting released in April since, as those who have followed the Mario Kart franchise may remember, Mario Kart Wii came out in April of 2008.
Nintendo of Japan has not made a statement regarding this supposed Spring release just yet, so nothing is really concrete as of now.
Mario Kart 8 is an exclusive title for the Wii U, and, if this newsletter is telling the truth, we will be seeing it in store shelves before we know it.
