As you may or may not know, Arc System Works is celebrating a 25th birthday this year; not bad for a relatively niche fighting game developer. And like all major birthdays, they’re going to try to kick it up a notch. They’re going to have a pretty nice little party.
They’re calling it Arc System Works Festival or ARCFES for short, and it has all of the goodies you’d expect a fighting game developer to try to add. There will be a huge premier tournament, called the Arc Revolution Cup, where the best in Persona 4 Arena, Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R and BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma are going to duke it out to see who takes the ultimate crown. They’re also going to be having a live concert featuring Guilty Gear and BlazBlue music, called Works Music Live, which should be pretty fantastic knowing some of the music that’ll be on full display.
It may be the last tidbit that really makes an impact, however. They’re saying they will release some kind of new info at the event. Considering we already know they’re looking into a new IP, could we get our first look here? Doesn’t seem outside the realm of possibility, but that’s also total speculation at this point. Excited?
