On Etrian Odyssey: Millennium Maiden‘s official Japanese website an orchestrated track was featured on the main page. This made it clear that the upcoming title will feature classically orchestrated compositions like in Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan.
The game’s music will be scored again by Yuzo Koshiro, who has composed for every Etrian Odyssey game thus far. The first three titles on the Nintendo DS featured FM synthesizer music, and the remake will likely have orchestral renditions from the first game’s soundtrack.

While it’s unknown at which point in time the featured piece will be heard in the game, it nevertheless demonstrates a sincere and peaceful sense of atmosphere. If what we heard from Etrian Odyssey IV was good, then this next game isn’t likely to disappoint our ears.
Etrian Odyssey: Millennium Maiden is slated to release on June 27, 2013 in Japan; a North American and European release date will ultimately follow in the near future.
