Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition Switch 2 | Announcement Trailer Screenshot

Earlier this morning, Nintendo dropped a surprise announcement. Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition will be getting a Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. Another surprise is that it’s available today, well digitally at least. As of today, you can digitally upgrade your existing Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition Switch copy, to a Nintendo Switch 2 Edition which supports 4K resolution in TV mode. The announcement trailer also states that the game will support 60fps on Switch 2 as well.

The upgrade pack will only cost you $4.99. However, if you don’t already own a Switch copy, then the full Switch 2 Edition of Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition, will cost you $64.99. Also, Nintendo has announced that a physical copy will be available this upcoming April 16th, 2026. Feel free to check out the brand new announcement trailer down below.
