Resident Evil 9: Requiem

Capcom gave Resident Evil fans a tantalizing glimpse into Grace Ashcroft’s past with a new trailer for RE9: Requiem at Gamescom in Germany. Grace and her mother take center stage in the above video at the Wrenwood Hotel eight years before the events of Requiem, which is set 30 years after the outbreak in Raccoon City.

We first heard about the Wrenwood Hotel during the Summer Game Fest’s reveal of Requiem, which first introduced Grace as an FBI agent on the trail of an unidentifiable disease that has already claimed multiple victims. With this Gamescom trailer, we get to see a much younger Grace as she becomes embroiled in a mystery far beyond her understanding.

Resident Evil 30th annivesrary

As part of the 30th anniversary of Resident Evil, Capcom also released new illustrations of the series’ most iconic characters. Grace joins the ranks of Leon S. Kennedy, Claire Redfield, Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine and Ada Wong in this stunning line up.

Resident Evil 9: Requiem will launch Feb 27, 2026, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam.
