EastAsiaSoft has announced that they’ll soon be releasing Thunder Ray, an arcade-style boxing game. The game will be available physically for Nintendo Switch and PS5. EastAsiaSoft Limited will be publishing the game digitally for Switch, PS4 and PS5 in Japan and Asia and the game is scheduled to launch sometime this Summer 2024. The press release states that pre-orders for the physical release of Thunder Ray will begin this Thursday March 14th, at 11 p.m. Hong Kong time via Playasia. Limited Editions will include the game, a manual, soundtrack CD and a numbered certificate, all of which will be packed in a collector’s box. Originally developed by Argentinian studio Purple Tree, Thunder Ray puts players in control of an up-and-coming champion as he’s pulled into the ring to face bizarre and ruthless challengers from across the galaxy. The game boasts rhythmic, strategic boxing mechanics and fluidly animated hand-drawn characters. As Ray, players will need to learn each opponent’s quirks, strengths and weaknesses if they hope to be the last boxer standing.
Thunder Ray features support for English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese text.
