While we here at Operation Rainfall love covering the latest in gaming news and sharing our reviews of titles new and classic, we also just enjoy playing games in our downtime. So with that, sit back, relax, and check out what the oprainfall gaming crew have been up to this week!
I spent most of this week still working through Trails in the Sky SC. I’m having a great time with these, but I may take a slight break before I do the third game, just to break things up a bit. Outside of this, I played a bit of Blue Archive. I have zero luck with rolls in this game, but I love the story. These girls always find themselves in crazy situations and their personal stories with the MC are a lot of fun as well. Fubuki was my favorite of this week. She may not be a great undercover cop, but she is cute and loves doughnuts! – Steve
In the last two weeks (I didn’t have a chance to add to last week’s article), I once again spent more time on Atelier Sophie 2. When I last updated you all on my progress, I had just gotten the snow weather stone. Since then, I’ve done plenty of exploring, fought a dragon with some amazing background music for the battle and I now also have this air/gravity stone, which seems to raise platforms and make it easier to jump across a previously existing gap or hole of sorts between two areas. I’ve also gotten much closer to the various party members. Although, last time I said I believed I had at least one more party member to unlock but now I’m not so sure. Six playable characters might actually be all I’ll be getting, which is fine. I had assumed a certain someone would join the party later on which simply might not be the case.
Then only this past week, I’ve slowly started getting back into Mahjong Soul. I’ve been neglecting it because lately I never seem to have enough time to sit down for a full match of Mahjong against actual people, which I can’t pause or walk away from at any moment. Things are going terrible so far though. As you can see from the screenshot above of my recent matches and points, I’ve been losing, a lot. When I went back to it, I had around 595 points towards the next rank and now I’m down to 346. That definitely wasn’t my goal, I was hoping to destroy my opponents and finally rank up again. Instead, I dealt into someone else’s Big Three Dragons yakuman and lost a whole lot. There were a lot of close calls as well though, where I had pretty great hands and just couldn’t get my winning tile first. – Jenae
