Just the other day, after reading Quentin’s initial interview with Studio Zevere for She Dreams Elsewhere, I was sad. Not cause it’s a bad game, but because I thought the fact that it was being funded by Microsoft meant it unlikely the fantastic game would come to other consoles anytime soon. And then today during the wrap up reel for the Indie World Showcase, what do I see but She Dreams Elsewhere! I was flabbergasted in the best of ways.
As of right now, the wholly unique indie is slated to come to Nintendo Switch in early 2021. I know everything is subject to change in this pandemic, but who knows? Maybe by the time we reach that period, this horrible virus will be dealt with. If nothing else, games continue to help this gamer stay grounded.

CLEVELAND, AUGUST 18th, 2020 – Studio Zevere announced today during Nintendo’s Indie World Showcase that their much-anticipated title She Dreams Elsewhere will now be coming to the Nintendo Switch on day one alongside Steam and Xbox (included in Xbox Game Pass for Consoles & PC), with a brand new release window set to early next year.
About She Dreams Elsewhere
She Dreams Elsewhere is a surreal adventure RPG that explores dreams and the extent to which they can mirror reality. Players will explore the surreal world as Thalia, an anxiety-ridden, comatose woman who plunged into her dreams and must confront her inner nightmares in order to finally wake up. Unfortunately, some nightmares are harder to confront than others… It’s a deeply personal narrative dealing with real world themes such as mental health and self-identity combined with strategic turn-based combat, mind-bending levels, and a surreal, visually-striking world ripe for exploration. About Studio Zevere
Studio Zevere is a one-man indie game development and film studio based in Cleveland, OH. It was founded in 2016 by Davionne Gooden while he was a senior in high school, and has since worked in the realms of film (features and shorts), commercials, music videos, and comedy skits.
She Dreams Elsewhere is the studio’s debut video game project and is set to launch in early 2021. The studio aims to tell stylish, culturally-relevant, and emotionally-rich stories from new perspectives with a voice that’s all its own – so come inside, make yourself comfy, and enjoy your stay.
