Normally I would start this Nintendo Download with a synopsis of what I’m gonna cover today. But since our site hasn’t covered another reveal yet, first I’m gonna address something rather important that happened earlier this morning courtesy of Sakurai. Take a look below, and I’ll gloss over it real quickly after that.
Dante looks a bit different than we thought in Smash Ultimate, huh? All bad jokes aside, it’s now apparent that the next DLC character for Smash Ultimate is another Fire Emblem representative, Byleth from Three Houses. At first I was upset that we’re getting another dominant sword wielder, but turns out Sakurai pays attention to complaints. Byleth is the only Fire Emblem character besides Robin with weapon variety. Byleth’s different tilts all correspond to powerful Crest relics, giving them not only a sword, but a lance, axe and bow. That’s frankly incredibly exciting to this die hard fan of the series, even though I’m horrible at tilts. Thankfully, these weapons aren’t just relegated to tilts, but also correspond to the special attacks as well. So Byleth is not only quite well rounded, but possibly shaping up to be one of the best Fire Emblem reps in Smash Ultimate. It will be exciting to try the new DLC out in a couple weeks! Okay, now that we got that excitement out of the way, lets move on with our regularly scheduled Nintendo Download.
What’s that, not enough Fire Emblem in your weekly Nintendo Download? Well that’s fine, cause here’s some more. Tomorrow marks the release of the updated version of the hybrid title Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore. It’s no surprise that I’m excited for the game, since I loved the original. But if you’re not convinced yet, stay tuned for my review of Encore in the coming weeks.
Time for another regularly scheduled Nintendo Download mix up. Here is where I normally would cover the latest sales of the week, but there’s really not anything new that wasn’t there last time. There’s still some time to catch games on various sales celebrating the new year, but not much. So you can check out what those included by clicking here, and tune in next week for another batch of discounts.
Now it’s time to close things out with some new digital fare. There’s a handful of titles out next week, which we’ll cover first. If you like old school RPG style, then you might like Ember. If you prefer shooting ships, then Psikyo Shooting Stars Alpha might be for you. And lastly, fans of platforming with prehistoric beasts might enjoy Caveman Chuck. Now to see what’s new digitally this week.
The following are all new digital goodies for this week’s Nintendo Download. Buckle up, cause there’s a whole lot of stuff to check out. Firstly, if you love you some retro fun, check out Arcade Archives EXERION, Seek Hearts and Witch & Hero 2. If you love adventures games, try Curious Cases, Dreamwalker: Never Fall Asleep, Lydia, Maitetsu:Pure Station, Red Bow and To the Moon. Fans of puzzles might enjoy Robots under attack!, SELF or So Many Me: Extended Edition. If you like frenetic action, there’s Dungeon Shooting, Planetary Defense Force and Sea King Hunter. Finally, if you love colorful platformers with lots of action, check out Super Crush KO.
Overall, a pretty solid Nintendo Download. Thanks as always for joining us here at oprainfall for your weekly dose of Nintendo gaming. Be sure to tune in next time for hopefully even more to enjoy!
