Sentai Filmworks have announced the acquisition of exclusive rights to supernatural series Val x Love through a global licensing arrangement excluding Asia. Sentai Filmworks Summons “Val x Love”
HOUSTON, TX — September 30, 2019 — Sentai Filmworks announced today that it acquired exclusive rights to irreverent supernatural series Val x Love through a global licensing arrangement excluding Asia.
Takuma Akutsu has a “unique” appearance that, unfortunately, leaves him feeling isolated and alone among his high school classmates who shun him. Enter the Valkyries sent by Odin himself! Once they descend into Takuma’s life, he discovers they aren’t scared of him one bit! In fact, they’re super keen to get to know him better. As the intimacy between the Valkyries and Takuma grows, so too do their powers. And that’s a good thing, because they’re on orders to slay the vicious monsters intent on destroying the earth. How far will they go to deepen their connection, level up, and save the world… by any means necessary!?!
Val x Love is produced by Hoods Entertainment (Mysterious Girlfriend X, Real Girl, The Qwaser of Stigmata) and directed by Takashi Naoya (Gintama, Joshiraku, Dream Eater Merry) with Tatsuya Takahashi (Domestic Girlfriend, High School of the Dead, And You Thought There Is Never a Girl Online?) in charge of series composition. Val x Love is based on the manga series of the same name by Ryosuke Asakura (Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-kun), published in English by Yen Press.
The series stars Yuuya Hirose (O Maidens in Your Savage Season, DYNAMIC CHORD, The Saga of Tanya the Evil) as Takuma Akutsu, Rina Hidaka (To LOVE-Ru Darkness, GATE, Black Bullet) as Mutsumi, Kaede Hondo (DIABOLIK LOVERS II: MORE,BLOOD, Zombie Land Saga, Girlish Number) as Natsuki and Ai Kakuma (Sword Oratoria: Is it Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? On the Side, MONSTER MUSUME: Everyday Life with Monster Girls, Blade Dance of the Elementalers) as Itsuyo.
