ACEN 2019 was in full swing this past weekend with anime fans from all corners of the world making the trek to Chicago to take part in the festivities. Among the various guests and companies in attendance, Sentai Filmworks was present to showcase several new announcements. While their panel may have officially wrapped up yesterday, the folks at Sentai Filmworks were kind enough to release a recap of all of the announcements after the panel had concluded.
The first string of announcements has to do with the licensing of two anime movie releases. The first is Utano☆Princesama Maji LOVE Kingdom. In addition to receiving a retail release, this film will premiere at Anime Expo 2019 (July 5, 2019). To help celebrate this occasion, Takuma Terashima, the voice of Otoya Ittoki, and Mamoru Miyano, the voice of Tokiya Ichinose, will both be in attendance.
The second film to be unveiled was Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?: Arrow of the Orion. This one will see a wide release in theaters throughout the US on July 23, 2019, so be sure to mark your calendars ahead of time.
Finishing things off, Sentai Filmworks announced several additional anime series that will be receiving English dubs in 2019 Those include Yamishibai, an “urban legend horror anime”, and Golden Time, a highly successful romantic comedy. Both dubbed releases are due to arrive at some point this year, though no official dates have been provided yet.
