Last March, there was a Nintendo Direct that revealed the Nintendo GameCube launch title Luigi’s Mansion would be coming to the Nintendo 3DS. Though things have been a bit quiet on the remake, we have a confirmation on the game’s release date. Luigi’s Mansion 3DS is set to come out on October 12th in North America, and October 19th in Europe, retailing for $39.99. Halloween is a lovely time for this classic to haunt players again.
We haven’t seen too much more of the game recently, but we do know a few details about what this update will have; the game will make use of the Nintendo 3DS’s trade mark features such as the 3D and touch screen features, the former being notable as the developers originally wanted the game to be in 3D. A new mode is a boss challenge mode called Gallery Battle Mode, where players can battle the game’s boss fights again. It is possible we will get other features like the European exclusive Hidden Mansion mode, a new game plus where Luigi retains upgrades from the game and certain parts of the game are changed up from the original campaign but we need to wait and see what else changes.
