Kadokawa is now accepting pre-orders for a 1/7 scale swimsuit figure of Sword Art Online heroine, Asuna Yuuki. The figure is released in celebration of the 25th anniversary of Kadokawa’s light novel imprint, Dengeki Bunko. Dengeki Bunko was established in 1993 and released over 3000 titles by 2015.
The Asuna figure is the first in the “Dengeki Bunko 25th Anniversary Goods” project and the project promises to have more products inspired by the imprint’s well known series and characters. Kadokawa plans to launch other projects to celebrate Dengeki Bunko’s 25th anniversary for a one year period from April 2018 to March 2019.
Asuna’s swimsuit figure is based off an illustration drawn by light novel artist, abec. The figure will be released in two editions and will be available for pre-order from Dengeki’s official online store, Dengekiya. The regular edition of the figure will cost 14,018 JPY (about $131). The limited edition of the figure comes with a special B2 size tapestry. The tapestry will have the original illustration by abec that the figure was based on. The limited edition of the figure will cost 16,718 JPY (about $156). You can check out the tapestry below.
