I hope you’re all ready for another great Nintendo Download! This week has the usual sales and newly released digital content, but it also has a fantastic surprise – the release of Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 for Nintendo Switch! So if you missed those on Wii U but wanted to see what all the fuss was about, you’ll soon be equipped to find out. Here we go!
First, like I mentioned above, tomorrow Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 both release for the Nintendo Switch. Best of all, if you buy one Bayo title, the other one will be discounted! Meaning there’s really no good reason not to jump on the Umbral Witch train. Another fun release today is Fe, an atmospheric and charming looking platformer. Fe won’t hold your hand and expects you to discover the magical world on your own time, which may or may not appeal to everyone. That said, it still looks like it’s worth investigating starting tomorrow.
Next up, the Game Guide is behaving, so let’s see some new worthwhile discounts. The Coma: Recut (Switch) is discounted to $15.99; The Legend of Dark Witch 3: Wisdom and Lunacy (3DS) is discounted to $7.99; The Next Penelope (Switch) is down to $10.99; stylish SUPERBEAT: XONiC (Switch) is cheaper at $29.99; Uurnog Unlimited (Switch) is more affordable at $11.99; Spelunker Party (Switch) is half off at $14.99; charming puzzle game Tumblestone (Switch) is really cheap at $5.99; Inversus Deluxe (Switch) is only $12.74; Semispheres (Switch) looks fun for $6.99; frenetic twin stick NeuroVoider (Switch) is a bargain at $11.99; if you are hankering for a new Metroidvania, you should check out forma.8 (Switch, Wii U) for a mere $5.99; and finally, Retro City Rampage DX (Switch) is a steal at $9.99 or you can pick it up for less on 3DS for $4.99. Not a bad selection of discounts, especially since more and more newly released Switch titles are available. To see the full list of sales, just click here.
Next, if you have been enjoying Musou madness in Fire Emblem Warriors, you’re in luck. Today you can pick up the Season Pass, which unlocks new playable characters, maps, costumes and more. For example, in the Fates pack, you’ll get everyone’s favorite saucy archer, Niles, as well as dancer Azura and bad-ass spearwoman Oboro. The Shadow Dragon pack gives access to Navarre, Minerva and Linde. And finally, there is also an Awakening Pack in March, though the details for that one have yet to be revealed. Still, it’s pretty exciting to be able to get more stuff in an already jam packed Musou game. Especially since the Season Pass is only $19.99, or $8.99 for buying them individually. While I don’t own Fire Emblem Warriors yet, it’s on my list, and now I have even more reasons to pick it up!
Don’t leave yet, cause we still have new digital games to cover. And there’s a bunch of them, so buckle up and get ready! First, for those retro inclined, there is new ACA NEOGEO Fatal Fury 3, as well as Psikyo SHMUP Samurai Aces! If you want a more narrative focused game, you might check out Old Man’s Journey. For the puzzle-minded, might I suggest TorqueL -Physics Modified Edition-. If you like tough games with cutesy graphics, I have a trio for you – Aqua Kitty UDX, Wanderjahr TryAgainOrWalkAway and Xeodrifter. If you want a simple RPG, check out Machine Knight. And lastly, for those looking for a little horror, check back next week for Layers of Fear: Legacy.
Pretty solid offering, if I say so myself. I know I’ll be picking up at least one of these new digital games myself, possibly more with a sale. Be sure to check back with oprainfall next week for the latest Nintendo Download! I’ll be here to help cover all the latest games that may have slipped under your radar.
