At Sony’s 2017 Press Conference, a new trailer for Vanillaware’s upcoming game 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim was shown. Directed by George Kamitani, 13 Sentinels is said to be a “Dramatic adventure” featuring the 2D style of art we’ve seen from previous Vanillaware titles such as Dragon’s Crown, Odin Sphere, and Muramasa. 13 Sentinels will follow 13 protagonists as they pilot robots to fight against a fate of inevitable destruction. 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim will release in 2018 in Japan for both the PlayStation 4 and Vita. No word on a western release date at the moment.
